Originally built in 1890, the Mountain House is located on top of East Hill with spectacular views of the Adirondack's highest peaks. The Biesemeyer Family has offered guests food and lodging since 1945. The Mountain House recently underwent a complete and thoughtful renovation that maintained the architectural integrity and historic features of the structures while providing updated conveniences such as a sauna, whirlpool tubs and high speed internet access.

The Main House has a large and comfortable living room with fireplace and is surrounded by an open deck and outdoor fireplace. The adjacent Gulf Brook Lodge and Alpine Lodge offer comfortable accommodations for individuals, families and small groups There are many places to read, relax and get away from it all. The Mountain House is a perfect place to enjoy unspoiled natural beauty.

Each house has been wired with data ports and our office enables our guests to have the use of a fax machine. If you have to stay connected to the working world we provide you with the opportunity to do so but we do not encourage it!

Please join us at the Mountain House for your family vacation or arrange for a special event such as a wedding, family reunion or company meeting. We are open eleven months a year and closed during the month of April.
